a letter to u

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 2:23 AM 0 comments
i always forgive, but u're damn right, i never forget..and when i said it's over, u have become a stranger i never wanna know..live or die..just go and die..oh yes, i'm that mean..
i'm not the type who goes around selling stories about how we ended up like this, i'm the type that looks at the positive side of every hardships and make full use of it...oh when i say i make full use of it, i cry all my way there..for every choices that i make, i believe there's a price that i have to pay...costly or not, it depends on how many days i cry trying to build up myself again...
if i know i'm wrong, i'll definitely admit it and ask for forgiveness..i'm not gonna use all the opportunities i have to hide it and makes myself looks better in your eyes...i hate lying to myself...no matter how bad i am in your eyes, at least, i know, i'm being true to myself...and i know, u cannot stand that about me..
u can keep blaming other people for your suffering even though u know u r wrong, and u did it just to make u feel better, but hell no..u'll never gonna be all right...
all of us are wearing mask to a certain party..and we take it off once the party's over..but some of us forget to take it off...and some even bring the mask to their grave...
i believe, u can be the angel to the world, but if do that by lying to yourself of who u really are, u'll never gonna be happy even if the whole world look up to u...

You are an idiot!

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 1:37 AM 2 comments
I certainly cannot accept this phrase being said to anybody no matter how mad you are at that time. Seriously, who are you to make a statement like that to somebody? I believe no one, I repeat, no one, has the right to label someone else as an IDIOT.

I made this post because I encountered one situation in one particular school where I saw a teacher was scolding his pupil in the staff room. And the moment I heard the phrase “You are an idiot”, my heart rate increase rapidly, as if I was the one being scolded like that. My ears were burning and my hands were shaking. But, of course I did not go and punch the teacher, but I hope I did..urgh, I really despise that kind of teacher.

Here’s a note to that kind of teacher in case you fall in that category:

No matter how dumb you think your pupils/students are, if they are not able to understand what you’re teaching, you should remember, it might be your fault. It’s your job to teach, and it’s not their job to understand if you do not know how to teach. I’ve been a student for more than 15 years, and now, I, myself is a teacher. What I learn during that time is that, good compassionate teachers, who know how to teach, will never call their students idiots.
It’s because:
1. They never think that their students are dumb
2. They know their job, which is to teach! If their students fail, they feel as if they fail too.

Thus, teachers who have been calling their students idiots are actually mocking at themselves.period.

what’s wrong with being all nice and polite

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 2:45 AM 2 comments
There’s this girl, i don’t know her, but she always leave a very irritating comments on one of my friend’s wall (facebook’s wall)..so, because of that, she deserves a post in my blog..hehe..
I wonder, what’s up with her and all her bitchy attitude..i mean for real, i’m trying to figure out, why would a person acts like that, u know, being such a bitch..she didn't get enough hugs and kisses from her father, perhaps?

ok, u may not get it clearly, i’ll give an example:
This is my friend’s status: been through a lot, i feel like im getting sick..
This would be that girl’s reply: lembik ah ko ni..

Rasa cm nk lempang org dak? When i first saw this, i was like, WTH is wrong with this girl?
No man, she wasn’t kidding because when i looked through my friend’s wall, her comments were always like that, “blah ah ko”, “boo, igt ko best sgt ker” etc. with the similar kinds of irritating comments..
Then, i talked to one of my friend bout this kind person, and our hypothesis goes like this:
maybe she’s an attention seeker, she might like my friend but didn’t get any respond (oh ya, forgot to tell, my friend is a guy), then, she acts like that to show as if she’s so cool, u know, talk like a man, which of course no man would talk so bitchily like her, in the hope that my friend would notice her and start arguing with her (then start falling in love la konon, Korean style)..hee..but, pathetically speaking, my friend just ignore her, like totally..none of her irritating comments are replied..yet, she keeps on doing it..if i were her (which i hope i never will be), i would definitely stop doing that, i mean, come on, what’s wrong with being all nice and polite, right...

i’m sorry, am i judging her right now? Okay, my bad, it really was not my intention, it’s just a story to tell all you girls out there that being all bitchy really does not make u get noticed (except from me, bcoz im trying to make an example)..seriously, even most guys i know whom read all her comments in my friend’s wall detest her..like i said before, what’s wrong with being all nice and polite? Because i think being such a bitch is really tiring..

What Are Your 5 Non-Negotiables?

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 2:16 PM 2 comments

i was surfing on the net, then i stumbled upon this page, and i think it's a good thing to have a  list of the qualities in a man / woman that u really cannot negotiate, meaning, they must have these qualities, if not, bye bye..but, bear in mind, it should not be something that's too ideal like:

1. good looking / beautiful and have a body like Ryan Reynolds / Blake Lively

2. rich and loving like Chuck Bass

3. a vampire like Stefan / Damon Salvatore / Edward Cullen (wth?)

4. hot CIA agent like Sarah Walker

those are like the common thing which most man and woman wish to have, but of course la, smp bila pn tak dpt achieve kn, yes, it's not impossible, tp be real la kn..make a list that's related to your personal life and plz, be relevant...hehe

my list goes like this (and I've found the man that suits them :-) ):-

1. chemistry; a person whom i'm comfortable to be with and able to love me for who i am.
2. protective; able to protect and defend me from everyone and everything.
3. love travelling.
4. love sports and it is listed as one of his favourite hobbies.
5. love modern designs.

so, what are your 5 non - negotiables?

wedding

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 8:54 PM 0 comments
lately, there were a lot of people asking me this typical question: dh kawin ka blom? bila nk kawin? dh berpunya ka?

hadoiii..it's not that i don't appreciate all of u out there for being so caring about me, tp kalo tiap2 hari dok tnya soalan yg sama, penat jugak weh! but, what to do, that's basically some of the routines in my every working day for the past three weeks...answering those questions..haha

anyway, last 3 days, i went for a course for a new syllabus, KSSR for 2011..since i'm gonna teach year 1 next year, i was asked to go..i happily took the letter with a big grin on my face when i was told bout its venue, it's only 15 minutes from my house..oh yeah!

going for a course = going back home

yeah, u r right, i was ecstatic! haha..dh la i'll be on leave for the whole week next week, starting next Sunday till the other Sunday, ohh, i feel like i'm on cloud nine!
anyway, i really enjoyed my time at the course..i met people, make new friends, and learn about a lot of things..all i can say is that, starting next year, the English class will be very enjoyable..i can't wait to teach..haha

back to my topic for today, my dad suddenly told me that he wanted me to get married a.s.a.p..what?? i was quite shocked with his statement, but i just keep quite thinking that maybe he's just simply say that since my mom was talking about someone's wedding..however (feel like i'm writing an essay in an exam, haha), it turns out that my dad is serious..gagaga..haa, baru nk gabra..adoi..

he said, he just wanted a small ceremony, only do things that we are obliged to do in Islam and a small feast..takda hantaran, takda bersanding, takda different day for the feast, pas akad nikah, mkn2 sket, dah...even baju pn takmau buat yang glamour2, sbb nnt shari ja nk pakai, what a waste..i'm glad to hear that because that's exactly what i want for my wedding..oh, i love you, dad..u really understand me..

i do not know what about other people, but for me, lesser is better..i do not want a wedding to be an indicator to show people of how much we can afford (yes, i'm poor if u wonder, but, i dont have any debt, itu yg penting)

wedding is a sacred ceremony, even in Islam it can be compared to building a mosque..so, i really do not want to spend on things which are not necessary and can burden my future husband and his family..i just want a small and simple wedding, surrounded only by my closest family and friends..so, sesapa yg tak dijemput nnt, plz jgn terasa..later when i do open house for Eid ul Fitr, for sure i'll invite all of u..do claim it from me later, k :-)

ceh, sembang mcm nk kawin esk ja kn..haha..takda la, just nk ckp, my dad soh kawen cpt2..dan i sgt pening dan agak sedih, smp hati dia tamau bela dh anak dia ni..huuu..haha..mmg rs cm nk lempang ja kan Ann ni, dh 24 tp dok wt mcm 14 lg nk soh abah bela pasuma, kn..mmg melampau..haha..dak2, sj ja ckp..ala, ampa ni, nk lwk sket pn takleh..hehehe..

neway, tgk la what will happen by the end of this year...ramai org nk masuk meminang ni, tp suma dh ditolak awal2, sebelum dtg umah lg, sbb i already have someone special, hehe, *blushing* :-)..bkn nk ckp i'm so hot smp ramai org tergila2, langsung dakkkk...tp besa la, org ckp saham cikgu ni tinggi, kes tu la..sbb i am a teacher, ramai la org nk wt menantu, hehe..and muka pn bleh la tahan jugak, kn *cough* *cough*..hahaha..sorry, a bit conceited there smp terbatuk2..haha..

i think sbb ramai sgt org dok tnya about me, dat's y la my dad wants me to get married a.s.a.p..ya la, my bf tu dh lama sgt org dok tgk dtg umah to take me out, send me home..so, tak manis la kn..ramai jugak yg dok ckp mcm2 kt my parents, tp disebabkan my parents are the coolest, they just ignore it, bak kata my dad, mulut org bkn bleh ttp, nnt letih, dia senyap la..hehe..whatever it is, i just pray that i'll get a good husband that can guide me to be a better person..amin..

that's all for my lengthy ramblings for today..till next time..thanks for reading..have a good day :-)

i blame u for my bad teeth condition

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 1:42 PM 2 comments

it's very rare and hard for me to openly say out loud to blame somebody for whatever things that ever happened to me, in fact it has never occurred to me that i need to blame anybody for bad things that happened to me.. but because of today's incident, i'm firmed with my decision that i blame the dentist that treated me 19 years ago for my bad teeth condition now..

well, my gumis  swollen like hell, so i decided to see a dentist this morning..i reached the clinic at around 8.15 am, i went inside, there's no one at the registration desk..then a nurse saw me and she said sorry for waiting, she'll entertain me a.s.a.p...then at 8.30 am, registration was done and i was given a number for my turn..it seemed that i'm the first patient if the day..tick tock tick tock, the clock was ticking, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, still, the doctor didn't call on me yet..20 minutes, 25 minutes, then i heard a little boy who's waiting for his brother's with their mom said this out loud to his mom "Mama, awat lambat sgt doctor ni??" i turned and smiled at his mother, as a sign to show that i agreed with his son..

later at 9.05 am, the doctor called me..she looked at me and asked what went wrong while asking me to sit on the-chair-where-u-can-only-find-in-the-dentist-office..she did the usual dentist's task, checking my mouth and teeth and give some kind of instructions to the nurses in the dentist language, i assume, because even though it's in English, it doesnt make any sense to me..the nurse wrote it down and that's when the dentist started to scold me..she said that my tooth is in a very bad condition, need to pull it out but it will be very hard to do so because of the condition, and in fact there's another 3 tooth that need to be pulled out as well and why i had not done it yet, i told her that since the other 3 are not causing me pain, my dad refused to let me had them pulled because he wants me to do crowning, bridging or root canal treatment, which ever necessary, to replace the decayed tooth..

then, she got more furious, she asked about my dad occupation, where does he work, which department, position etc and she smirked, WTH?..adding salt to injury, she told me to tell my dad that my teeth is already very bad, the only solution is by pulling it out, i can't undergo any of that treatment, he could try to consult other doctor, but even an expert would tell the same thing...in my pain, i just nodded and asked for MC, took my medicine and headed out..i did hear the dentist told me, plz tell your dad if he wants u to go for the treatment, he should do it faster and bla bla bla, i didn't remember what else did she nagged about...

next, i called my dad telling him about the check ups and said i'm fine, and i swear i almost cry because of the pain, but i cannot because i know my dad would definitely come here to see me, thus i cannot do that, so i held my tears and got on the bike with my cousin, Syahirah, and headed to my aunty's house, the place where i stay, at the moment..

at the house, i recalled on my childhood memories why i grow up to hate to go to the dentist..it was because i met a terrible dentist when i was 8..i was put on an appointment at the school's clinic to do a filling, i was excited at first, but the dentist was terrible and it ended up with a very bad experience for me, and from that day, i always avoid to see a dentist...because i think all dentist are alike, pardon me, i was only 8 at that time ok..and end up with such a bad teeth condition, padan muka sendiri..

now, with the incident that happened to me this morning, to all dentist, i must say, we are not dentist, there are certain things that we do not know, so when we go to the clinic and see u, plz do not scold us as if we are dentist too..we go with pain and hope that u could cure us, not to hear u nag and be scolded..

sekian, terima kasih.

p/s: my tooth is still painful and my gum is still swollen..half of my face looks like ikan buntal dh..

Is it so hard to be a good person?

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 8:37 AM 4 comments
i just don't get it why some people choose to be such a bad person..i think being a good person is more rewarding than being such an evil one..it wasn't easy to be bad, though some people claim that it's easy, but if we think it thoroughly, it really is not..

let's take a look at a very simple example...on one hand, there's a person works 8 hours a day and by the end of the month, s/he gets his salary..it makes him/her happy because he can spend it to make their family happy with the money s/he earns by working hard...on the other hand, there's a person who robs a bank for a living..if s/he does not get caught, then it's ok, but still to spend that money on your family, i'm sure s/he would feel very guilty deep inside her/his heart because it comes from a bad source...however, if s/he gets caught, that's when it stings..s/he does not only will be imprisoned, s/he also does not get a single cent from it..the family would suffer from embarrassment, they might losing the only breadwinner in the family as well...

her's a list of the basic of good and bad things:

good things:
pray, respect the elders, love the youngsters, study hard, work hard,  be kind and helpful

bad things:
neglect the duty to God, being such an ass to the elders and youngsters, lazy, evil heart and hateful

some might say that neglect the duty to God is a very easy thing to do...to have a discipline to pray 5 times a day (for Muslims) is very hard to be done..but what they do not know is that, it's the source of peaceful in our heart..pray saves us from a lot of trouble in order to find peace..those who do not pray might try to find peace by taking drugs, drinking liquor, just to name a few which will always end badly..compare to just pray 5 times a day, u are rewarded with serenity of heart and a good way of life..well, u decide..

God has promised that a person who obey to his orders or command will surely be rewarded and hell is a sure for those whom disobey...we always thought that reward should always be in a solid form like money..but what we do not realize is that, a good health, a fully function body, the ability to eat, to walk, to talk and to do a lot more things without the help of others is already a reward from God..what if He takes back one of this ability, how's your life would be? be grateful before it's not too late..even a handicapped learn to be grateful, why can't a physically perfect human being like us cannot?

me myself is full of flaws..i did a lot of things and most of them were things that i'm not really proud of..but Allah loves me so much that he sends people to guide me back to the right track, and those are my parents and my grandparents..what i'm trying to say that God has always shown his love towards His slaves..it can be in thousands of ways...sometimes we are aware of it, but sometimes we are not, and that's when people say that it's a blessing in disguise...

so, let's ponder on what have we done so far in our life,  repent on all our wrong doings, start doing good things and lead a better life..

May God bless us all, always..

yours truly,
a human, with full or flaws.

fasting month

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 2:30 PM 2 comments
what happen to this blogspot? whenever i want to create a new post ja, the column edit HTML yg kuar, and it's loading for hours..penat menekan compose byk2 kali, ni baru bleh..haih..nevermind..

anyway, today im going to talk about the real meaning of fasting...it's because i think i kinda get the wrong notion bout its reason...it so happened that at the beginning of Ramadan i was so excited nk buat biskut raya...but then, my mom said, don't do it yet, hayati dulu bulan puasa, the main reason why we fast is not for the sake of celebrating the Eid, it's to teach us to be grateful and do as much ibadah as possible..terkedu sebentar bila dengar my mom ckp cmtu..malu dan segan sgt rs..ya la, blajar tinggi2, tp basic agama cmni pn tak tahu.. T_T

so, i did some readings to remind me on what i've learned during high school about fasting..and it proved that my mom was right *of course la kan, huhu*..

The month of Ramadan is a time in which we hold our bodily compulsions and instincts under strict control, together with our thoughts and our mental states, our moods and desires. We submit ourselves (our nafs) and our accustomed patterns of life to a higher template, one that fosters a regimen of self-restraint within the body and mind and correspondingly seeks an intensification of the life of the spirit. The body is ordered to fast from what it needs, from what is normally allowed to it, from what it desires, from what it craves, from what it may seek on a whim, and from what it habitually seeks - from all that leads to an intensification of the activities of the nafs. By fasting, a person keeps himself from the pleasures of life, with no preventive or hindering factor, except that of obeying God and showing genuine devotion to His commands.
(source: here and here)

There, i bet most of us has misinterpreted the real meaning of this fasting month, kan...we are so excited preparing cookies and dishes to celebrate the Eid ul-Fitr..it doesn't count the preparation for the attire lagi...kalut (sibuk) nk bli kasut la, tudung la, nk bg matching dgn baju raya, kan...so much for keeping ourselves from the pleasures of life..astagfirullah hal 'azim..it's not wrong to prepare everything early, but it becomes wrong when our focus is more on celebrating the Eid rather than to fully embrace the real meaning of fasting month...God bless those people who go for terawih every night for the sake of showing genuine devotion to Allah in this fasting month (ya la, bln lain mana ada terawih,kn) ...hence people, let's check on ourselves whether we really focus on savouring this fasting month or we merely focus on celebrating the Eid...

Renung - renungkan, dan selamat beramal...

the meaning of love

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 2:17 AM 0 comments

“Love isn't finding a perfect person. It's seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”

-Sam Keen, (American Philosopher, Spiritual mentor, motivational speaker and Writer)

Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."
- Captain Corelli's Mandolin. "Love is the beauty of the soul."

"Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own."
--
Robert Heinlein

"Love means to commit oneself without guarantee, to give oneself completely in the hope that our love will produce love in the loved person. Love is an act of faith, and whoever is of little faith is also of little love."

Erich Fromm

a sudden stochasticity thought

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 9:42 PM 1 comments
everyone loves money..especially in a huge amount...it's undoubtedly true, right? why we love money so much? because we can use it to buy everything we need as well as everything we want..we are able to help the poor and make the people that we love happy by giving them things that they like..we are able to go wherever we want in this world..we are able to make other people's life much better..the list can go on if we are talking about the benefits of having a lot of money...and it seems that money is really important in making world a better place, isn't it?

some says, money can buy everything..how far does this statement apply in your life? for me, money cannot buy everything..yes, maybe it can give us every single material things that we dream of having in our life but the peace in your heart and mind, are not sold anywhere...the feeling of grateful, humanity, compassion, just to name a few, cannot be bought with money..maybe those things does not seem important to certain people, but, i believe those feelings are far greater than what money can buy..

it irks me when some people respect other people just because they are filthy rich, driving a luxury car, living in a super big houses and all the things that shows the huge amount of money involved...it's not wrong in wanting that kind of life, but to respect? plz..we respect people because of their personality, the moral values that they have in them which can inspire us all in becoming a better human being...i know, some people have different view about this thing, so, im really sorry if my perspective contradicted with yours..

it's the end of the world...people are striving hard in becoming successful and rich just to gain some special place in the community..values are marginalized..people would do anything just to earn the extra money that they can get..but trust me, the more u get, the more u feel that it's not enough because u will always refer to people whom are richer and more successful than u..and the battle will never end..there will always be someone who is better than u...what we can do is just being grateful in what we have, pursuing what we love and do what God asks us to do, and without money, life can be at peace...like how i feel right now ;-) jobless, broke, but still, im happy..why?? because im surrounded by people that i love and whom love me as who i am now..and money can't buy love...

thanks for reading this crap.hee.

posting fever

Scribbled by Mint Chocolate Chip at 2:12 AM 0 comments
we might know the result of where we are going to be posted by today, or so i was told..but then, one of my friends checked with the ministry, and we were told that the result will be out on the 21st..so, being given two dates, i did check it today, but still, it stated that my name is still not the list..pheww..i'm kinda relieved actually..because i don't feel like working yet...i'm still having a good time at home, being pampered and all..hehe..

i really cannot imagine how am i going to be at school later..there's one thing that makes me kinda excited about my job is that i am going to be around kids..by kids, i mean, 12 years old and below..im glad i made that choice when i sign up for this profession..i don't think i'll be able to handle teenagers in the secondary school..i dun have enough patience to deal with them..but with kids, most people always say that kids really adore me..haha..i don't know whether it's really true or not, but from my experience, i kinda have a thing with kids..maybe because i really adore them so much..so, they might have developed the same feeling for me..heee..

i always come across some people whom ask me,"which school are u teaching, secondary or primary?" i would proudly answer, "primary school!" with a proud smile on my face..and then i can see a smirk on their face that they are thinking some sort of like: "ohh, kata ada degree, tp ajar sekolah rendah ja pn"...and as if i know what they are thinking, i would reply with, "mmg mintak primary school, kids are more challenging, plus, i receive the same paycheck with the high school teachers, with a bonus: i can go back home earlier"..then their face would change, like a total surprise, and say, "eh, yaka, gaji sama ka, igtkan gaji cikgu sekolah menengah lg banyak, untung la kan"...*a bit annoyed*..not that i'm mad, but i see them as ignorants, because they do not know that nowadays, even the primary school teachers must have a degree..so, let's just pity them...hehe
being a teacher is an exciting job..even though i didn't like the idea of it at first when my dad applied this course for me, but as years passed by, i kinda embrace the feeling of becoming one..i really love the idea of being able to help the young generations to spell and read..

oh gosh..look at the time..i've been bragging way too much about my job already until i haven't noticed the time..it's already passed my bedtime..so nighty night..sleep tight..
